I was sent a batch of absolutely stunning Green Sheen Obsidian from Oregon, USA — a deep, dark green glass laced with silver streaks that catch the light in a way that’s hard to ignore. The moment I saw it, I knew it deserved something special. I began working it into a series of Iceman-style daggers, and while the material proved challenging, it rewarded patience. Every finished piece had a presence to it. It was this very obsidian that sparked the idea for the Trinity Series.

The set is built around three core pieces, along with a final, more personal addition.

Signature Knife — The centrepiece of the collection. A striking 6" Green Sheen Obsidian blade, carefully shaped and set into a custom handle made from Cornish Oak, Indian Rosewood, and finished with a Moroccan Burr tip. Traditional hafting methods have been used throughout — pine pitch glue, artificial sinew, and hide glue — giving it both authenticity and character. It stands comfortably on its own as a complete piece.

Iceman Dagger — Smaller in size, but no less captivating. This piece really allows the silver sheen within the obsidian to come alive, shifting subtly as it catches the light. It’s hafted in Indian Rosewood and tipped with Moroccan Burr, using pine pitch to secure the blade. Simple, clean, and honest in form, it highlights the natural beauty of the Green Sheen Obsidian in its purest expression. The point is hafted traditionally using pine pitch and wax sinew as it would have been all those years ago.

Palm Stone — Included as a bonus, a polished palm stone cut from the very same slab as the other three pieces.
