Iceman Dagger No.002 — Mexican Black Obsidian & Canadian Birds Eye Maple
Couldn't load pickup availability
The next of the Iceman daggers is made using materials from different parts of the world.
This piece features a knapped blade made from darker than dark Mexican Black Obsidian, volcanic glass in its simplest but beautiful form. The blade has been carefully shaped and mounted into a Canadian Birds Eye Maple handle, allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain the visual focus once again.
The blade is traditionally set using home made pine pitch glue, echoing ancient methods used throughout the Stone Age and Copper Age.
Each piece in the Iceman Series is made individually in the workshop, meaning no two will ever be exactly the same.
