Iceman Dagger No.003 — Oregon Green Sheen Obsidian & English (Cornish) Oak

Introducing the first of my Iceman Daggers to use Green Sheen obsidian all the way from Oregon AND Cornish hardwood. 

This piece features a knapped blade made from Green Sheen Obsidian, all the way from Orgeon USA. With subtle hints of silver it's easy to fall in love with this material. The blade has been carefully shaped and mounted into a Cornish Oak handle, allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain the visual focus once again.

The blade is traditionally set using home made pine pitch glue, echoing ancient methods used throughout the Stone Age and Copper Age.

Each piece in the Iceman Series is made individually in the workshop, meaning no two will ever be exactly the same.
