Collection: Forager's Companion
The Forager’s Companion is a small, honest object — made to be carried, kept close, and used gently.
Each piece features a single sharp English flint flake, set into a wild blackthorn handle. The construction is intentionally simple and repeatable, favouring restraint over display. Resin, traditional bindings, and natural materials are used throughout, with no two pieces ever identical.
Originally conceived for the careful harvesting of mushrooms, the form is deliberately modest — suited to light field use and quiet moments rather than force or performance.
These are not showpieces.
They are companions.
Made as a quiet counterpoint to Bowman Lithics’ numbered knives, the Forager’s Companion offers an accessible entry into the work — a piece that reflects the same values of material, care, and intention, without rarity or spectacle.
Every Forager’s Companion is supplied with a usage and care sheet, and a Bowman Lithics card.
Simple. Familiar. Meant to be held.
